  • 21 is a Fascinating Age - This is my longest, and favorite piece. I wrote about the mixed emotions of being twenty-one; about the complex mix of freedom and responsbility marked by fun but also uncertainty. It's a stage where you're drowning in comparisons and decisions loom large. Yet despite it's challenges, twenty-one brought me so much joy and appreciation for the present.
  • Bread, Pastries, and More - About an amazing bakery in Costa Mesa, Eller Bakery. They focus on delivering high-quality, fresh flavors while providing a chic, cozy spot for you to enjoy your coffee, treats, or meal.
  • A Sewing Needle and a 16-Year-Old - At an age when most of us were struggling with geometry homework, Brooke Wesseling was stitching together her dreams. At just 16 years old, she started her entreneurship journey and created her own clothing brand, 1978. I found Brooke very inspiring and loved getting to interview her and tell her story.
  • Home, Sweet, Home - This is another one of my favorite pieces as I love the place it's about. The Abode in San Clemente is a fascinating store that took over a house. Everything is places intentionally with kitchen items in the kicthen, bathroom goods in the bathroom, and so on. I spent hours combing through all of their items and had a wonderful time writing about it.
  • Love at First Slice - SUGO Costa Mesa was a new pizza spot serving up "pizza a pezzi". Started by a native Italian, they embody tradition and excellence in every savory (or sweet) bite.
  • Brews and Blooms - HousePlant Nation is the first hybrid plant shop and coffee house in Orange County. Love for caffeine and appreciateion for plants blend in perfect harmony at this Huntington Beach spot.
